When reviewing a first-year application for admission, the admissions committee will look carefully at your academic coursework, test scores, and personal qualities. Rheinsberg seeks students who are academically curious, excited to be in the classroom and willing to fully integrate themselves in our community of scholars. Admission to the University of Rhiensberg is competitive and while the admission process being competitive we receive more applications than we have room for in our freshman class, our staff takes pride in getting to know you as more than an applicant on paper, both inside  mission.

The University of Rheinsberg provides a wide array of support services for nontraditional prospective and currently enrolled students, including parenting support services, leadership opportunities, scholarships, and other programs created to enhance students’ academic and personal growth and development. 


Transfer Students


We understand that transfer students already know a lot of about attending college. That’s why our dedicated transfer admissions staff is here to get you through the admissions process quickly and easily so you can concentrate on life at the University of Rheinsberg. Whether you are completing work at a two-year school, wish to move into a program that your current college doesn’t offer, or just want a better fit, you’ve come to the right place.
Rheinsberg welcomes students who wish to transfer from two-year and four-year, colleges and universities. Many of our transfer students come to us from community colleges from every corner of the world, with plans to complete a bachelor's degree. Others transfer from four-year institutions for a variety of reasons including academic reputation, choices for majors, and affordable tuition. A better fit where transfers can feel just as welcome and a part of the campus community as our traditional freshmen. Day and night class availability and central location all​ow flexibility for students who must balance work and school.

Whether you’re a freshman, transfer or graduate student, the Rheinsberg system has one of the most generous and progressive financial aid programs in the nation. It costs less than you think.

Special and Non-Degree Students
The University of Rheinsberg welcomes applications from special and non-degree students. You may be exploring graduate degrees, completing requirements for other degree programs or looking for exciting and challenging courses for personal development. Rheinsberg offers a full schedule of courses at Associate, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate Levels. A non-degree seeking or special student is one who would be eligible for admission as a degree or certificate candidate to the chosen program, but who is not interested in pursuing the credential. An applicant who plans to take courses for personal enrichment, professional development, or certification will be classified as a special or non-degree student if admission is granted. The special or non-degree student must hold a bachelor’s degree with no less than a 2.50 cumulative grade point average from an accredited institution.

The Admissions Committee evaluates applications and supporting material for admissions and decides upon the acceptance and placement of students at the University of Rheinsberg. Admission to the graduate programs of the University is based on prior academic performance, professional work experience, and proficiency in the English Language. The selection process gives particular emphasis to evidence of leadership potential along with academic excellence.

Graduate Students
Thank you for your interest in graduate programs study at the University of Rheinsberg. Applicants to all graduate degree programs must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited and recognized institution or have equivalent competencies. Applicants should have attained a grade point average of 3.0 or better for all undergraduate work and achieved satisfactory scores on the degree-appropriate entrance examinations. Applicants to doctoral degree programs must hold a master's degree from a recognized institution or have equivalent competencies.

As a doctoral-granting, research-intensive university with highly qualified  professors and facilities, Rheinsberg provides an ideal environment for advanced education.We know that there are many imortant factors to consider when selecting a graduate program, of which is the financial investment you are soon to make. This is why we encourage all students to carefully consider available financing options and other factors.
